When you upload a photo to Mementos, you're agreeing to the rules below. They exist to protect the people in your photos — and you.
You confirm that
- You took the photo, or you have the right to use it.
- Every recognizable person in the photo has consented to it being used to create a personalized or animated gift.
- The photo doesn't contain illegal, hateful, sexual, or violent material.
- The photo doesn't infringe on copyrights, trademarks, or publicity rights.
How we use uploads
- To produce the specific gift you ordered.
- To generate previews and mockups for your account.
- Internally, for quality control and abuse prevention.
We do not train AI models on your photos. We do not sell uploads. We do not use them for marketing without separate, explicit permission.
Storage & deletion
Uploads are stored on a private bucket and tied to your account. You can delete any upload from your account at any time. We delete uploads automatically 12 months after the related order is completed, unless you save them to a design.
Animated gifts of real people
Talking Photo, Singing Photo, and Pet Talks use the uploaded image to generate motion and voice. By uploading, you confirm consent from the person depicted (or the pet's owner). We reserve the right to refuse generations that appear deceptive, sexual, or used to impersonate public figures.
Removal requests
If you appear in a photo uploaded without your consent, email privacy@mementos.gift. We'll remove the content and any related gifts within 72 hours.
